About HCLC

Holy Cross Lutheran Church has had a presence in Old Town Saginaw since 1849 and we are proud to say that we have been sharing the Good News of Jesus to the community for 175 years. Holy Cross Lutheran School opened in 1851 and is still providing top-quality Chrisitan education. We had grown at one time to over 1000 members and started five sister congregations in our area. In the area, we are known as the “Mother Church” among the Lutheran Churches in Saginaw. We have had many strong pastors, principals, teachers, church workers, and faculty which have helped meet the mission of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School. The Saginaw Old Town Business community near Holy Cross may be small but everyone supports each other. The neighborhood demographics have changed over the years, which does not match the demographic make-up of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, but we do try to outreach into the neighborhood. We continue to depend on our Lord as He continues to lead us today and into the future.
